Sounds like a password issue, or a phone that isn't yet set up for tethering.
I assume you are trying to connect to your phone first (not home WiFi)?
Please advise what you are connecting to and the steps you are taking.

That might be one of the longer unpunctuated sentences we've seen here in a while, so you'll have to give me some help.
After "putting in login details" on the TomTom or the phone?

The steps needed are:

1) Set up your phone's WiFi tethering option with a password.
2) Enable WiFi tethering on your phone.
3) Attempt to make connection between TomTom and phone by using TomTom WiFi configureation to select phone and then applying same password as set up on phone. Passwords are case sensitive!

Have you successfully performed steps 1 and 2, and are having problems at step 3?
