XL IQ Routes ² / XL 250 / XL 350 - 2GB TTS*
I up-dated my TT-XL 25.02.12
Now it will not accept full Post codes .
The Favourite icon is none active.
My location icon is inactive.
I have tried a reset.
I have also tried up-dates again.
Any suggestion and help welcome. thanks

thanks for your reply. I have connected TT to computer and opened the files however I cannot find a folder there called zip!

Hi,

please extract the file zip.zip. If you do this using WinRAR you should get that folder created automatically. Otherwise create that folder (all letters lower case) and extract the files from the zip-file to that folder. That folder needs to be placed in the root of your unit in the end as dhn described.

Regards
Lars.

Ok guys many thanks for your assistance, TT working normally now :)

Sorry guys still having problems with entering full post codes.

Plan route_enter Address -Post code YO23-3PW Buckles Inn.
Before up-grade I could enter the full post code.
Now I can only enter YO23
Then Street Name - Cat Lane
House number- does not have one ? have to hit anywhere.
Is there a setting I can use to enable Full code entry.???????

No, it should all work straight away.

Looks like you've not managed to install the files correctly.

To recap, what you should end up with on the device is this:

attachment.php

(The other folders may be different on your device)

Can you double check with Windows Explorer please, and confirm that's what you have got.

Also, this should be obvious, but we'd better ask...you ARE using the dedicated postcode section of the "Navigate to.../ Address "menu, aren't you? (and not trying to enter the postcode in the "street and house number" section).

Hi,

please extract the file zip.zip. If you do this using WinRAR you should get that folder created automatically.

The correct folder structure gets recreated if you use Windows built-in zip extraction too. (right click / extract all)

I downloaded the above file, deleted the Nederland files, drag and dropped British files into TT menu.
Route Setting:-
Hit plan route, abcd address, in city place post codeYO233DZ
YO23 shows. then asks for street name,
Before the update I could just enter the full post code.

British downloaded zip files do show in TT menu

Why delete anything? Just put the whole FOLDER onto the TomTom (not inside any other folder)

(I know you CAN delete the Netherlands files in this instance, but if you are having problems with something, it's best to cut down on the variables and just do what you're told until you know it works!)

No I copied/dropped them straight in.
I will create a zip folder for them and see if this solves the issue.

I deleted due lack of space. Hold off with the big stick, I'm trying :D
