I bought a tomtom 610 optical directins okay but no voice directions been into the voice menu selected a voice made sure the speaker was on any sugestions thanks tkirk

What voice are you selecting? Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds

In addition to the speaker 'mute' button at the bottom left of the main menu, there's another icon way over to the right that controls whether voice navigation instructions are enabled. Be sure that's selected as well.
