TomTom Model(s)
Go Navigation App for Truck
Hi,
I hope somebody is able to help here! I am using the TomTom Go navigation app for trucks on an android tablet (Acer) connected to my iPhone via its hotspot.
The last year has been perfect, no issues at all. However, just before Xmas, I lost live traffic. Live services all paid and subscribed to and turned on, but it does not show traffic anymore, just the greyed out symbol.
I have tried everything I can think of, uninstalling & reinstalling, signing out/in, resetting the app, deleting the hotspot and reconnecting but nothing works.
Internet is fine on the tablet when connected to the hotspot as I have tried Google and other apps, they work fine.
Last weekend I connected the tablet to my home wifi and the traffic appeared and was working fine.
Back to work Monday and connected to the iPhone via hotspot as normal and the traffic has stopped working again.

No settings have ever been changed, so I’ve no idea why this started.

If anyone has any ideas how to get it going again, I’d be very grateful!!

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Hi

If the tablet connects to your home wifi and the traffic is working, it's a connection problem between your tablet and your iPhone.

On your iphone, have you enabled mobile hotspot.
Have you tried connecting via Bluetooth.

Yeah it’s only ever been connected by hotspot which is turned on. Haven’t tried Bluetooth as that connected to the truck system.
All settings are the same as when it worked last year, nothing is different 🤷‍♂️
