Go discover, tomtom go
Hello,
Tomtom Go on Android and a 7 inch Discover PND has some traffic data but are missing large amounts of freeway traffic data.

The missing data in the devices do appear in the MyDrive app, Sygic GPS, and TomTom Amigo.

Any idea what's going on ?

Let's first be sure that the traffic data on your Discover isn't missing altogether!

Closed roads can appear irrespective of a traffic connection, but can give the impression that some traffic is being received. Are you seeing MORE than just the red/white candy cane closed roads on your Discover - the usual orange and red issues here and there - when you zoom up a bit?

i receive some traffic data not all of it.

I'm aware of the different visuals . I've been using tomtom since 2013.

I'll try and take some screenshots to post here later

While you're working on those -
Is this Discover new to you? If not, is this traffic issue a recent development - the device having been behaving normally for some time before?

it's a recent development .

i even factory reset the device and reinstalled the Go android app but it didn't change anything .

In my opinion to compare Tomtom Go on Android, the My Drive application (or web page), Tomtom Amigo un Discover and Sygic GPS they must all be turned on at the same time...

What will be great from a resolution standpoint is if this problem is ongoing and you can capture those screen shots. That provides us with some visual evidence of the problem that could get some attention.

Based upon what I see here, I assume the problem you're seeing is in the greater Seattle area?

Thanks for those. It gives me something very concrete to pass on to someone who can at least direct it to the right person. It's rare that an area has a 'partial blackout' of the sort your images indicate. It's usually all or nothing.

But...

Is there any change in content if you zoom in closer by one or two steps?

from left to right it's tomtom go android, Mydrive, Amigo, sygic, google maps.

thanks for helping. zooming in didn't show anything additional. it's in western Washington state .

I have the same issue. TomTom Amigo (Android), TomTom MyDrive (PC) and Sygic (Android) traffic data are identical. TomTom Go (Android) displays only a subset.
Most incidents that fail to be displayed are related to closed roads or unknown events. Stationary/Queuing traffic incidents seem to work properly.
