Go expert plus
Hi group, I recently bought a tom tom go expert plus for work, first problem I'm having is connecting it to my tom tom my drive connect, in the hope I can find all my places somewhere in my account from my previous tom tom go. Secondly I'm following all the directions and instructions, I'm logged on according to the device, but when I try to add it to my drive I just keep getting the whirlpool and the txt oops we are having trouble accessing tom tom services please try later, this has been the same for a week, I'm not very technically minded so please keep it simple. I'm at the point of a factory reset and start again if I can't sort it. I have no trouble updating maps via WI Fi

Hi,
You don't need to connect your GO Expert to MyDrive Connect via your computer.
For map updates, you do them via your home Wi-Fi.
You only need to connect your GPS to a power adapter, then you can start the updates from your GPS.

The issue with retrieving your saved locations has been resolved.

Many thanks, I have got it updating maps now via WI Fi in the house. I think the problem I maybe having retrieving saved places is that the ones I had saved were on a different model of tom tom, I can't log into my tom tom account on my new device, to try to find anything, all I get is the whirlpool in the middle of the screen, it tells me to wait a moment, then says we can't access tom tom services at the moment please try later, that happens on both wi Fi and via my lap top

Have you tried restarting it by pressing the power button until you hear the drum sound and the device restarts?

If the problem persists, you should contact TomTom support.

Have tried re starting it, was on the point of doing a factory reset, tried tom tom support, don't seem to get a real person just a chat bot that says it doesn't know how to cure it

Speaking to a human advisor will only be possible via chat and during business hours.
If you have access to the settings, resetting to factory settings might be an option.
