Permenently awaiting GPS signal

HI

I have a tom tom one, and switched it off at lunchtime today in Auckland. Upon restarting after lunch it says it awaiting GPS signal, all the way from Auckland to Tauranga and via a few restarts.

This happened to me once a month ago and it resolved itself after I plugged into the computer and back out again but not this time.

Any ideas to resolve this please?

Well, a unit takes more time to grab a signal when the unit is moving. Being in a stationary position in an open area is the best scenario for grabbing the signal.

Have you gotten a gpsquickfix file when updating your unit using Home?
