Just got home with a new Tomtom One....worked fine until I decided to conect to my PC to backup. Now I just get a read X when I power it up. It is probably something simple but the documenation that comes with the device is weak at best!

Any thoughts?

I appreciate the response....the device did reset but anytime I am not connected to the PC via USB I have a red "X" flashing. Can't get anything. Frustrating!

Could you describe the red x?
Usually an image that displays a red x is to let you know not to unplug the tomtom.

Like Pedro, the only time I have ever seen the "X" is when TT is warning one to not disconnect from the computer. Always be sure to use the software to do the disconnect if you are not. The units are very demanding about this process.
