What is the best way to contact Tom Tom to tell them that they are sending people down an unmade road to get to my post code and not using the main road. I tried via their web site but have had no reply after 4 months. Thanks for any help.

Besides reporting it in the link that Arno provided, you can call customer service:

When you say "unmade road", do you mean one that is under construction, that simply does not exist, or an unpaved road? I'm struggling with "unmade" in this context.

Dear All
Thank you for suggestions. Arno - I did use http://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/ and now see my comments on there. I have looked at Google maps today, it seems to take you the correct way now.
dhn - thanks I'll do that.
canderson - unmade road means a farm track on a highland estate in Argyll.

Thanks again. I'll give them a phone
Jean

It make take as many as two map releases before the change that you made at the mapshare/tools site appears in the released maps. They just released map 955, so I'd be looking for this change to appear at about map 965 (they update by +5 each time) in about 6 months. Yes, it seems a very slow process.

Is that farm track a public 'road'?
A year ago I would have said if no, it will never be shown on their maps.
Since they have started to display the lanes on some parking lots the lane may be shown too but, if not open to the public, I do not think it will and you may find within a fortnight that your report has unfortunately been rejected. They usually do not give a reason.

Arno - the farm track is not a public road but people are/were certainly be directed along it.
I'll phone and see if I can get anywhere.
Thanks again all.

Ah - now the fact that this is a private road may spur them into quicker action when you contact them. We were not aware of that twist until your last post. They can sometimes be very responsive to dealing with inadvertent inclusion of private roads in mapping.

Tried phoning customer services but they just tell me to use the web site and cannot give me a phone number or email to contact. However when I look on the map on the web site it says my input has been "accepted". I suppose it now depends on people updating their systems. Thanks for the help.
