Light and Dark mode issue

I have 2 iPhones both with Tomtom Go version 12.81.5 and whilst the display on both the iPhones is Light as set when I use either phone in CarPlay mode on my VW Taigo display the App appears in Dark Mode irrespective of the time of day.
I also have the Tomtom Expert Version on one of the phones and this displays correctly at all times even when in CarPlay mode..

Any suggestions.

In the TomTom app, select Settings, then General; select Light and Dark mode, then Automatic.

Thanks for your quick response. It does not matter which Mode I set Ie Light, Dark or Automatic the CarPlay display is in Dark mode. If I disconnect the iPhone from CarPlay the App displays as Light as set when the CarPlay display was Dark. The same applies if the Mode in the App is set to Automatic.

Is it set to automatic on CarPlay as well?

Thanks again. You have help me sort it out as I have now got it to display in Light mode and not permanently in Dark Mode. I did not realise that if you Tap on the Settings Icon in the CarPlay display on the cars screen there is an option to set a display mode there. It was set on Dark so I have changed now to Light which is what I want. My only unsolved mystery is why the Tomtom Expert App didn't also display in Dark but always displayed in Light mode..

For GO Expert, have you checked the settings? Select "Map and Display," then choose "Classic" for the map color.
