Android Auto no light mode

Any trick for getting TTGo to run in light mode on Android Auto? Other nav apps do, but TT will only run in dark mode on AA. It runs in light mode on the phone.
 
I tried deleting all app data to reset the app and set it all up again. Seems to be working now.
