Is it possible to download a gpx file to my Tomtom Go Premium using an android phone and MyDrive app. I know you can do it using windows but that is not convenient. I have the gpx file on my Android phone but cannot find any way to transfer it to the tomtom device.

No, the GPX must be uploaded to the MyDrive site at TomTom in order to transfer it to the device 'through the cloud'.

And just a warning. The MyDrive site accepts only *.gpx files built in route <rtept> or track <trkpt> format. It barfs on waypoint <wpt> style files.
