car charger connection loose

We have had our GO720 for almost 2 years. The car charger keeps falling out of the Tomtom bottom, possibly due to daily uplugging for so long.

Except for using a rubber band across the unit's screen to hold in the power connection ( or glue - haha), is there any way to tighten the connection?

If you are at a point where you almost consider buying a new charger you could try to use a pair of pliers and give the plug a gentle squeeze at the tip. Too hard and the metal may distort too much to plug in.
