Hello everybody,
Can I askk for help and conformation on a question. Ive looked around the forums and tried to research my question on the web, but not found a definitive answer.
Ive got and old via 135 which needs Replacing now. In the past Ive been able to install community content/speed cameras with the 'Add Community Content' option and then afterwards 'Manage Poi /Warn When near Poi' on the unit itself. I have now got a slightly newer Start 40 but using My Drive there is no longer the option to add the speed cameras and poi files. On the device there is also no menu option to 'Managed/Warn/ Sounds/Distance etc.
I believe that this is due to different software on the TomToms going from Nav2 to Nav3/4 ... Is this correct please. Also does this mean that I am no longer able to 'control' my own poi files in the same way as previously ?
I understand that I can add poi files on the web page of TomTom and stored as 'My Places' and I have done this. However my speed cameras no longer have warnings and distance/sounds to poi being possible to set.
I was hoping to get an even newer model than the Start 40 but if all newer models can't use the Community Content option in My Drive I might have to rethink.
Can anyone confirm my understanding and offer any advice please. Much appreciated, and I apologise if this has already been answerd, and Ive just not found the answer yet. Thank you, Russ
