Tomtom won't turn on

I bought a Tomtom 720t some time ago, maybe 2 years or more, and I haven't used it for over a year, in fact I have only used it 3times, anyway, I came to update it to use today and it won't turn on, the green light on the holder is lit, but the actual unit doesn't come on when I press the button on the top, I have left it on charge for a hour on my computer, but still nothing, could the battery be that flat that it will takes hours, or do you think it is knackered, any helpfull suggestions gratefully recieved Thanks Julie

Try giving the reset button in the base of the device a prod with a paperclip then see if it will switch on - Mike

Try charging for at least three or four hours, not just one.

its possible its a dead battery. sometimes it can be revived by an overnight charge. otherwise you might need to replace the battery
