Hey everyone. How is it going.. I recently grabbed the tomtom510 refurbed on woot.com. someone on the forum refered me here. Once my tomtom froze up!. but you guys the break down on the reset button.(wonder why they put it downthere?) But i enjoy it. doesnt stay as updated as i like it to be but whatever.

Question: What role does that little hole by the release button serve? I used a paper clip in there ^^

Hi Ryan,

That little hole is the microphone. I hope you didn't poke too hard, lots of people mistake the microphone hole for the reset hole, and basically screw up their mic.

If you did manage to mess up the mic, I won't worry. The internal mic doesn't work great.
The external mic that it comes with is better when using your hands free.

Would a refurb unit come with external?

a refurb item should come with all the accessory parts unless it states that it doesn't

Not sure a refurb 510 would come with it. A 910 would... maybe someone who has a 510 can verify.
