I have 2 different tomtom's and when I push certain letters other letters come up. Is this common to tomtom's and is there a fix for this?

No, it's not normal. what models do you have? And have you tried resetting the units?

Push the corner of a business card into the gap between the bezzel and the screen then run it all the way around the screen to dig out any dirt that might be trapped in the gap, this often cures issues with the screen selection being incorrect - Mike
