I just received a Tomtom One for Christmas and have not been able to find anywhere if it has the capability of providing the elevation on a map. We live in the mountains and that information is quite helpful. Can anyone tell me if it can, and how? I am used to a DeLorme GPS and I miss that function.

I don't believe the One will display elevation with normal program but there are a few 3rd party apps. and one of them might do the trick.

I'm sure someone with more info will chime in and let you know.

As unpltd has said, it doesn't show the elevation of the box. You are going to have to install a third part application such as Tripmaster. Look in the 3rd Party forum for more information.

AT one time the forum had a link to a program called "altitude" although there may have been some issues. Look in the third party apps as well as for Tripmaster that DF mentioned.
