Have you made an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents? If not, do so....and ensure hidden files/folders are showing.

I've been using Home, I guess that's not the way to go. I'll use Explorer from now on. Thanks for the tip.

Hi dhn. How many times have you told people to do this in this forum ?

My though is that it may be time to redo the "What to do when you first get your TomTom" sticky with this as number one (rather then using Home), plus a list of things to do with home, plus to use their map guarantee, etc.

If this was to be prominently displayed to new users - it might save them a lot of trouble and you a lot of typing.
