I have a brand new 720 in hand. The charging cradle is nice but I travel a lot and don't like dragging a lot of extra chargers when I don't have to. So I thought I'd try using the USB cable that's used to transfer data to my Motorola V3m phone. Turns out that it works just fine to both charge and transfer data. The data transfer isn't a surprise but the charging is. Not all USB cables are created equal. Use the wrong one and your device just won't charge. I'll get an error message on my phone if I grab the wrong cable.
Next I'll pickup a multi-outlet iGo charger so I can charge phone, computer, Palm and TomTom all from one device.
