Got Regional Maps + Update Service?

I'm getting contradictory information all over the place..

Is the update subscription/ service available with regional maps?

The map update service is available for downloadable maps only.

You need to have the map that want to use with the map update service selected on the device and then a quote will be given for that map,

You can not use the service for maps that are purchased pre-installed on an SD card ,

Amazing how well they can explain something without actually answering the question, isn't it?

So then based on what TomTom says, I should be able to get the update service for a regional map that I download.


But then.....

I called support and was told that subscriptions are not available for the regional maps.

Which completely contradicts what TomTom said...


Would anybody with regional maps + TomTom update service please stand up?
