Tried to change time - got 'file error'

Yesterday, I tried to change the time on my TT, and got a message along the lines of "File error - cannot save change". So on a return journey of some 140 miles, arrival time showed the GMT value.

Today I repeated the exercise, and the BST time was saved. No error message.

Was this a temporary anomaly, or is the memory due to breakdown?
