Combining GO700 and XL Classic

I have a GO700 which I bought in the USA and used it there while I lived there. It has North America map on it. I have a XL CLassic which I bought in the UK and has UK & Ireland Map on it. Can I use both maps on both devices and if so how do i copy them to each device. When I am in TOMTOM home it says I can't copy my UK map to my GO700 due to content restrictions.
Any help appreciated

Maps are actived and locked to a single device so I am afraid there is no way for you to exchange or swap maps around - Mike
