I posted a query on YouTube sometime ago. It was regarding the location of the SD card slot on my Start25.
Strangely, I've had a response that is quite detailed which I am having difficulty understanding, probably because it was posted in a foreign language, (maybe Turkish I think, but I'm not sure).
I have roughly translated it using Google Translate and it is very interesting. This is the gist:
First, connect your device to your computer with a kandi cable to free up space in the device's memory.
Open the MY CONTENT section in the TomTom MyDrive Connect application menu,
When you select REMOVE CONTENT ON MY DEVICE and remove the routing audio files you do not need you will gain an extra capacity increase of over 1Gb. You gain 100% extra capacity increase.
If an extra card is inserted into the device, a Mini SD card type memory card must be inserted. A map cannot be added to the card with a normal Windows computer.
The TomTom file system uses the Linux operating system, but it is possible to add the map to the card with the R-Link Explorer with a Windows computer.
Normally, when you insert the blank card formatted as Fat 32 type on the computer while the device is turned on, the formatting should appear on the screen or you should confirm the formatting and when the process is completed, the card is ready for use information should appear.
When the card is ready, when you open the My Content section in the TomTom MyDrive application, next to the loaded map name, open the section where the map is installed on the device, and select the map as UPLOAD to SD card, the map installed in the device is easily transferred to the card.
Does anybody relate to this information?
It wasn't what I was enquiring about, but looking at the content, it might be useful.
