Recently I tried to install my CD of HOME onto my laptop and it wouldn't work with windows 7 so I decided to download the program ( vs 2.7 ) from the main Tom Tom website .,
That web site gave me 2.8 and WOW .. what an improvement in updates and software enhancements .. !!
So I am posting to say unless you manually look for the update i nyour toolbar.. you may never know it exits .. I never saw anything on the forums here ( or let's just say it never jumped out at me and caught my attention .., I don;t even know how old or new version 2.8 is.. I was using 2.7 since Sept 2010 so can't say when it was introduced .. I'm surprised that when you do log into TOM TOM home it doesn't detect your version and advise you on an update change awaiting you . Most other software sites do this for you .........
