Letters off line when entered

When i simply try to type words in searching, tapping the letter goea to letter above letter typed, as if adjustment of alignment off? What do i know! I have a TomTom ONE 3" EDITION 1GB

Have you tried a reset of the unit?

Is it really 'off', or just the way you tap with your finger?

What happens if you tap in the exact centre of a letter with a cotton bud or the eraser end of a pencil?

If it really is wrong, there is a convoluted way to adjust the touch screen response, but it is not for the faint-hearted and is largely a matter of trial and error.

There are no other guides or instructions, so try it at your own risk!
So it might be better to just send it back for repair, especially if it is still under guarantee.
