Hi guys,

I have just put all the mapping etc onto my new 6000 unit with the MyDrive thing.

It says that the unit is now fully up to date and it says I have installed 6606mb data and I have 499mb free ?

Please can someone tell me if this is correct ?

Sounds about right. The full Euro map is HUGE these days!

Why can't we just opt for a United Kingdom map ?

Because what you are being offered still fits! You're in no danger of running out of space at present, and even if you were, adding a uSD card would solve that.
If you get into a ditch down the road where the full map will NOT fit in internal memory, then you will be offered a choice of zones from the full map from which to choose, one of which includes the UK.
