I updated my tomtomstart 50 this week prior to going to Ireland, but it is not recognizing many destinations. Normally use it for England and it has been great- so don't know if is an out of date issue or an Ireland issue. I was directed to this forum- apologies if I am not using it correctly. I need to decide whether to take it or trash it.

Can you be a little clearer about "destinations"? Are we talking addresses, post codes, points of interest, or ???

For instance, I put in the rural "Powerscourt House and garden", but now that you have both answered/ asked the right questions, and importantly, I know now that I have the right updated map. I am thinking its more about the proper search and trying different combinations, and familiarizing myself with the counties etc, as with a few tries I was able to get it ( Its an "Irish thing" not the TomTom...). thank you both very much- seems I can take it not trash it?
