TomTom ONE XL S maps (on SD card) to TomTom XXL540S (no SD card)

Hi everybody:
New here.
Here is my situation:
I have a TomTom ONE XL S, which has an SD card slot. Some time ago I downloaded installed a map on an SD card in order to use it on the TomTom ONE XL S, which it worked great. A friend is going to give me a Tom Tom XXL540S which has no SD card slot. How can I load the map from the SD card to the XXL540S unit?
What is the memory capacity of the XXL540S?
Is there enough room on the XXL549S internal memory for the Western European map (think is 1.2 Gig) plus the USA, Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico maps?

Save your concern. Maps are locked to the device first installed upon. you can't share between devices.

So, it would be wasted money if the GPS breaks. Nice business practice.

Are all brands of GPS the same?

Yes. You'll find that Garmin locks their maps to specific units as well.

The only exception is where you purchase the map from the manufacturer, preloaded on an SD or uSD card, and that card cannot be copied, and can be moved between units.
