TomTom maps generated by TerraIncognita (.sat files)

I have seen that TerraIncognita (software that is the continuation for GoogleOzi) can export maps in 'TomTom format'. It consists of a .sat and .jpg files.
Do you know whether it is possible to use that map in TomTom standard software?

Maps on all TomTom devices are in a proprietory format. I'd be interested in seeing a link or other reference to where a 3rd party app can export maps in 'tomtom format'.

Certainly, jpeg files are NOT in TomTom map format.

It is possible on non Navcore 10 units to have a raster file imported. But if you can find the software to do so, the result is of little benefit since the resulting file on a tomtom unit is not navigatable. If you zoom out, waay out on a tomtom map, you wind up with a raster file of a globe. Not much use, actually.

Here is a link that explains how the older platform models (firmware 9.XXX and prior) manage raster data in mapping. It may help understand the *.sat / *.jpg content a bit:

Click on the "Map overlays" section for the details.

Just to clarify that a bit, the zoom level at which any custom raster images will appear is controlled from within the *.sat file created to accompany the raster image. And since this is an 'overlay', one can route using the original map data - assuming the user has the TomTom map for the area to begin with. It's only the display that is different.
