Text-to-Speech or previous form of indicating turns?

Dear Tomtom lovers,

In my research I came to a doubt: does the text-to-speech feature, that one that allows the device saying out the street names where to go, replaces the information that was given in the past devices, like "turn right in 100meters", or "in the roundabout take the first exit"?
Because in most of the times we don't know the names of the roads, right?

Nothing taken away just items added

Instead of "turn right in 100meters" it may say "girar a la derecha en 100 metros, calle Alfonso nueve"
