Hi. New to the forum, based in the UK and hope someone can help. Have had my Rider 2nd Edition for some time and it's out of warranty. It was working fine last weekend when using it on the bike dock but now it refuses to turn on. It's dead-completely. Have read the advice on battery changes and bought new one and replaced it. Left unit to charge for 2 hours still nothing. Have tried the re-set switch, emergency re-set procedure. No joy. TomTom states ' no device detected' (not surprised if it isn't switched on!). With the back off and unit connected to the charger have checked the connector to the battery. This shows 4.2V with the battery disconnected so assume charge current is reaching the battery. The new battery also shows approx 4V when checked with meter. so assume it's charged OK. Nothing I do will get it to power up. TomTom customer support? Nah, unit is out of warranty. Any ideas out there? Rob
