Internet download speed?

What speed does everyone have? My desktop (windows 7) speed is 52mbps downloading. Whereas my lap (windows10) is 19 mbps over wifi. Would this affect the pace the downloads take,as I have 47?

Not too important it will take a little longer to download a map for example.

If you have 47 updates to make, do them one at a time.

There is a suspicion that update download speeds are governed by the TT servers. That is when an update is first released and lots of people try to download then the speed can be very slow. Even at other times it never seems to be as fast as the tested speed for your own computer.

For a GO 5150 you can very well start downloading the map on the computer today, disconnect the GPS from the computer then reconnect the next day to finish installing the map on the GPS.

This way we don't waste time waiting for the map to install.
