I want to make POI's

Guys how do i make POI's is there a program that will give you all the gps coordinates for a curtain place in the US? how do you find all of say the Mcdonalds? I really want to make some for people but dont know how to begin. can someone please help.

What programs do you people use to make pois for Tom Toms?

I'm coming from a Garmin. I've used Excel in the past then saved the files a CSV format. I have converted the csv files to ov2 using POI Verifier 2 and they work so far.

That is the best method of making POIs.
There are generators out there such as MyPOI.
