Recently I purchased an XL 335. I was in radio for 27 years and am dying to try some voices
for it. Can anybody steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

You can get many free voices using Home 2.

Yes Home 2 is a good place to start.

There are also some free and paid for voices on websites such as

You'll probably find more if you Google "TomTom voices" or similar.

Thank you very much. How do you record a voice for the TomTom? I think that would be cool.

You could start with TomTom's own instructions on how to do this HERE.

Recommend you read through the entire TomTom section(s) called Navigation Voices which includes Overview, Record the Voices Commands, etc, to see what you are getting into.

Also, it's a good idea to first make a backup of your "Voices" file located on your TomTom before making any changes especially if you need to reinstall those files which are needed to make the voices work (.vif & .chk files). Additionally the .bmp file is also useful but not necessary.
