Hi there,

I live in the Kitchener-Waterloo area which is located in southern Ontario.
I have compiled a ZIP file that contains over 15,000 POI locations and POI icons (22x22) for your use if you live in this area. :D

Most POIs are focused on the major cities of: Windsor, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Oshawa, Barrie and Ottawa.

They include locations and points of interest which cover some of the following:

Airports
Banks
Casinos
Colleges
Fast Food
Fire Stations
Gas Stations
GO Stations
Hospitals
Hotels
Nightclubs
Police Stations
Popular Box Stores
Restaurants
Shopping Centres
Speed Cameras
Sports Stadiums and Arenas
Tourist Locations
Universities
Via Stations

It also includes markers for:

All major 400-series highways interchanges
Ferry Crossings
Border Crossings
Provincial Highways

Even if you don't live in the area you can still download the high quality icons (22x22) for your TomTom

Enjoy!

Sounds impressive, you must have been busy! Thanks.

Just one small spanner to throw in the works... TomTom in their wisdom have managed to produce a set of latest software for the older NAV2 models (Gox20, x30 x40 x50 etc) that does not like their own "standard" of 22x22 icons!

Any of your own 22x22 icons are now liable to get squashed or corrupted by the software. 24x24 seems to be the new norm.

They also messed up the old "full red goes transparent" feature for them. Here's what some test icons of various sizes look now.

The ones on the left are 22x22 and the ones on the bottom row should all have a transparent bacckground. The 48x48 icons work on NAV3 but are squashed down on NAV2
