Cigarette Lighter attachment

Trying out my Tomtom for the 1st time, but after a little over an hour,I got the low battery icon. Of course, I had the adapter plugged into the outlet on my car,so don't know why the Tomtom would lose charge. Is there a light on this adapter that comes on when you plug it in to show you are getting power, cause I'm not sure if I'm getting power. Thanks Papat

if you click on the time and sat bars

there should be a little window that says the signal strenth the longe and lat and then the battery status if its chargeing you should see a "chargeing" under the batt

some cig plugs dont stay on when the car is not on.

I've answered my own question,as I've had a chance to plug in the adapter into another vehicle and it worked,so I guess the problem is my car plug-in. Thanks.Papat
