Active traffic indication

Good morning everyone, I use the GoNavigation app on Galaxy Note9 and I have enlarged the sidebar to the right of the screen for a better reading of existing traffic.
I noticed, however, that I had the car symbol (which should indicate current traffic) with a small "x" underneath which would make me understand that it was not active.
Furthermore, still on the bar, I don't see the color change depending on the density of traffic on my route, is this normal?
I don't think so..... how can I resolve this? Thank you

Hi
If you have an X on the car it means you are not connected to the Tomtom server

On the Tomtom Service application you must check to share the data with Tomtom.

when I'm about to set the destination, the symbol seems active, and I also see a little cloud underneath... as soon as I choose the destination and leave, the x comes out under the toy car.....

If the X means your phone is no longer connected to the internet.

When the X appears are you inside your car?
Check to see if the X is still there when you are outside your car.

In the car I have a wifi connection that works well, it's strange what happens in the navigator.
among other things, in the sidebar I don't see the color change that highlights the level of traffic....

In your car your phone cannot stay connected to Wi-Fi
your phone must be connected to the internet via your operator's data.

Why don't you install the application on the phone which is permanently connected to the internet.

and how do you connect permanently? what if there is no hotspot nearby? There is no SIM in the phone where the app is installed....

You say you use a 2nd phone to connect to the internet, install the application on this phone, not on the phone which does not have a SIM card.

I'm thinking about it, really, and that's what I'll do to figure out if it was a phone problem. I chose TomTom Go among many other navigators, really many, and I'm happy with it.
I will do it as soon as possible....

Gaetano, i use the GO DISCOVER,7,
Connected to the iPhone ‘s hotspot.. always, it is dangerous and absurd, in my opinion, of course, to have a phone close to the windscreen, small ,respect to a big display 7.
