A friend asked me to update his XL, which had the correct time already.
Opened Home 2 and connected device.
Exclusive Replacement Offer flashed onto the screen.

Got out of those screen and updated QiuckGPSfix and Map Shares.

@canderson

Is App 8.014 the latest for the XL?

There were a lot of XL models, Arno. You know the drill. First two characters of the serial.....
The answer will depend upon yours. If it's a really oldie, starting with an 'F' or 'L', then yes, 8.014.9372 will be the end of the road.

I thought that AKTZY was the serial just like the AK7AQ for my GO 930.Well, the complete serial is
AKTZY AAP72

Don't think that it is a real oldie. It has TTS and announces the name of the street of the next turn.

There is no US model starting AK as far as I can see. Maybe canderson has other data.

David is correct. There are no serials starting with AK. Your 930 starts with J6,. That screen isn't showing the serial number. You'll need to get the right one. If it has TTS, then yes, update well beyond that firmware version is likely. But as I say, there are half a zillion different XL units out there, and it's important that if it gets done manually, that the firmware matches the hardware.

If you want to know the serial number of either, and can't find/read the label, hold down the power button until you get to the diag screen and see what it says for "Device ID".
