XL 335 Disconnect during download

Hello,
First this website is an amazing resource that I stumbled upon after looking through tomtom support site.

I am a newbie to this and excited to use a TT yet I keep getting no map on the device.

I have tried my laptop and my desktop machine. Both show that I have successfully downloaded the North America map. When I try to transfer the map to the machine. It works for about 15 minutes, then slows to a download crawl, then crashes saying the device has been disconnected.

Now on the desktop, it won't let me transfer the map because
of some archive error.

I feel I've done enough damage.
Is it time to bring it back to the store?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
Unzipping

Using Winrar to unzip the map, a message appears that the Map is either in unknown format or damaged.

Does this mean the map download is bad and I need to get another download?

Is it possible to download a map again?

After following the instructions there is an error with the Cline file.
I guess I'd better hit the phones :)
 
When you first downloaded the map, was it awireless connection? TomTom servers don't play nice with large dloads and wireless.

Yes it was. It's probably likely the wifi corrupted the first download.

Tom Tom sent me a new map.

Hope this works.
