Windows 7 fails to install driver for GO 530

I usually have been connecting my GO 530 to Windows 7 at work or home successfully. However, suddenly the USB connections began to fail. When I connect the device, Windows simply states as being impossible to install the device driver. As a result, the Home can’t see the device.

The GO battery can still be charged, so the USB socket doesn't look to be damaged. I've tried to fully recharge or connect to distinct computers, nothing helps.

If I do a pin reset, will I loose the maps and updates installed on the device (I’ve purchased extra maps)?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

A pin reset will NOT cause the loss of any data other than you may need to reset the time.

In fact, a pin reset is often the 'cure' when a computer fails to detect a connection.
