White line on my VIA 53

Today I went to find out my Via 53 had a white line on the exact middle of my display.Can someone help?

You can try a hard reset (hold button until you hear the drums and then immediately release), but if that doesn't resolve it, there's a fair chance that the display has a bad row or column, and you'd be looking at a fairly straightforward DIY replacement of the entire screen. It's probably not the LCD driver. New screens are readily available 3rd party.

Have occasionally though rarely see heat play a part in this. Was the unit exposed to the sun on the dash for the period just before you encountered this? Any difference once it cools off?

It was left off through the night and was left on a seat.

If your GPS is less than 1 month old, this does not complicate your GPS, so you can contact Tomtom customer service to have it repaired or exchange it for a new one.

It only just happened overnight. It had no line before 16/07/2024.Plus it was off when it occured.

Perhaps so, but the Via 53 was originally released in May of 2017. Without some really interesting purchase documentation, I'm pretty sure that one is going to be declared out of warranty.
