Hi All, I have always had 2 maps installed

1, UK and Northern Ireland (Internal) v 1145.12635
2, Europe (With UK) 1145.12634

new maps totight, got those numbers from premium x, now working on 6200 to be the same

So it boots up using the Internal Map, I've Upgraded my phone to Samsung S25, mistake I think, anyway, did a reset, so putting things back

2 Sat Nav

Premium X
6200

Tonight while sorting this darn Bluetooth tethering so the units can use my phone for internet

So I selected download updates, which included the 2 maps, but no power supply connected, without thinking i switched it off, when switched back on, it said no maps please install one.

Well The UK and Ireland was easy, but the selection they give for the European Maps, didn't tell me which Europe Map also contains the UK

Says things like Europe Central, Europe West, ETC, I don't have a clue which Europe Map has the UK Also, so if I wanted to go to Germany from UK, both would be there.

Anyone tell me which Europe Map To Select That Also includes UK Please Also?

On Internet says this

Northern zone
Option 1

Full door to door navigation in the following countries and regions is included:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

But they are not Listed Like That In The Tomtom Menu

Normally you should have the option to select the full Europe map, i.e. 48 countries, which should be originally installed on your GPS.

yes, but its large, don't need all of Europe, Germany, France would be ok, and anything nearby. its a long time to download with tomtoms rubbish servers and its 72b internal wifi

last night i added Europe North, after installing, it shows UK grey and no map, so that must be wrong on. also other maps were downloading, then 60% or so would fail, so got to get the correct name if im going to retry

Europe South West
Full door to door navigation in the following countries and regions is included:
Andorra, Belgium, France, Gibraltar, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom.

Is this the map I have installed on my Premium X ? I have no way of telling, only shows the version number

PLEASE DONT CHANGE ANYTHING, telling your system to update the UK and Ireland, when I've only just installed it, is a waste of my time, your updates are so slow

Ok, so next time Ill have a look at what maps I had installed and working on the premium X, because when I selected to change the map it listed 2 and one was "Europe" well it didn't say anything in another part of the menu, so I've just installed "Europe" as the second map. well its been many years since I bought these units, and my memory isn't as good as it use to be.

Thanks anyway, I just thought the whole of Europe would be to big to load and move about...

Now back to the real problem, I've set the units to use the phone for data, but not tested it yet :) if it don't work, both going out the window :)

Thanks anyway

A full Europe is just over 9GB and that's pretty fast, unless your internet is bad.

I see you've chosen Bluetooth for that connection. Especially if your phone is iOS, I think you'll find WiFi the easier and more stable connection choice. So if you're not happy with the results over Bluetooth, don't bin the units, just switch the tethering to a WiFi hotspot on your phone and devices. Both of your devices support that, too.
