When will the new TomTom App take over from Amigo!
It would be good to have an idea when we can expect the change.

Its been out a while on Carplay and Apple is any good? is it worth the wait.

The Beta release on Android is already having the red TomTom logo... Not sure what has changed else.

TomTom: Formerly AmiGO, the new Android version 10.54.1 has been released since September 19th, and this is not a beta version.

On iPhone, it's been version 10.50.0 since September 10th.

I leave the BETA AmiGO today, uninstall AmiGO, wait some minutes and install (stable, not BETA) TomTom (now it has a different name, it is not AmiGO).
Now I have this famous new version and I'm disappointed.

Agree, but as I am fairly new to 'Amigo' but I wondered which one he is missing?

Overlay mode and the Bluetooth auto-start option no longer work.
You can no longer choose a voice.

I couldn't find the button to close the app.

Whether beta or release, it seems to me that AmiGO is a bit of a playground for TomTom. For Navigation, I am still using TomTom GO.
Hoping that with all the missing features, AmiGO will not replace GO, at least not like it is now.

Yes, you are right. No overlay mode, no support for TomTom account (you can't use your home, work, favorites, destinations from a TomTom account ...), fewer settings (it asks me to confirm the speed cameras, and now you can't disable this).

I only used the new TomTom app for half an hour yesterday, and I noticed that it shows slow traffic more aggressively. Not sure now, but have they also changed the warning sound?

We don't know what the future of those apps is planned. I hope there won't be a "TomTom app" and a "TomTom GO app.". Similar names can be very confusing.

And to be honest, there are two pluses:
- app opens quite fast;
- navigation view (maps) is clean and looks good.
