Western Europe Maps

Yesterday I took up the TomTom offer of Western Eurpoe Maps., for £16.24. I paid by PayPal. However the maps do not download, and it appears that there are numerous people in the same boat. I cannot contact support, to even ask for my money back.

It appears that Tom Tom are doing everything possible to maximise profits and minimise customer service. Not a business plan to be recommended.

I think perhaps I should think again about which GPS system I purchase next. Judging by this difficulty plus the awful website, which keeps freezing, Tom Tom is not very high on my list

What's the trouble you're having contacting support? Their UK phone number is
0845 161 0009 (Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. UTC)

Also what happens when you say the maps don't download. Are you not being offered them at all, or is the download failing in some way?

It sounds as though you either don't believe me, or this is the first time you have heard of this problem. I suggest you look on the Discussions page then go onto Maps don't download. You will find 11 pages of very disgruntled people, who are all saying basically the same thing.

No I didn't suggest either thing. I certainly believe you have SOME SORT of problem, and I have heard of many DIFFERENT problems.

I was simply asking for more information of YOUR particular problem, in the hope that someone here could possibly help.

And again, what was your problem with contacting TT support?
