    Hello,

I was trying to help a friend figure out if on the TomTom 60 S it is possible to watch the "car" travel along a proposed route before driving that route. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Careful, at this time it only does that from "current location".

If you are in Chicago and want to test a route from Milwaukee to Wausau, the demo will run from your location in Chicago.

Yes -- at a nice slow speed that will make you wish you'd never heard of I-94. Some of us are lobbying to get these newer units capable of doing demos at variable speed (like the older units could do), but nothing so far.

Thanks again. Passed the info on to my friend.

I tried to help my friend with her unit last night. My impression was that it isn't very intuitive. At Amazon, that seems to be an opinion of a lot of the users.

We have an old Garmin. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the newer units; but it's fairly easy to understand. Still some hiccups, but overall it has served us well.
