VIA 1500 w/ rds-tmc egg cord traffic question

Hi all,

1st time poster.....I bought an egg-shaped antenna for my via 1500....

1 - traffic works through the fm radio signals, coorect?

2 - do i have to let TT know about the cord to register it again?

3 - is there a fee to pay? register?

4 - I lost my red light camera option notice...there are two around my house...it used to chime and notify me...now it doesn't...anyone have any ideas?
