TomTom Model(s)
Go Classic
Hello everyone, I've just got a GO Classic device from Santa ( my old XL IQ still good but not supported)
I'm looking for an air vent mount for the GO, something as simple as the one I had for the XL - interlocking vee shapes, so simple and effective.
I also have a RDS receiver which doesn't fit the micro USB of the GO.
So if any of you have any suggestions to my wants I'd be much appreciative.

Happy New Year to you all

It would help me keep my list up to date if you
Thanks I'll have a look at this
Alas, no. TomTom has changed from the old USB mini-B to the USB micro-B connector, so the old RDS cables don't fit the new devices. That said, I don't know of any new devices that would support RDS anyway - no firmware in the unit for that.

Aside:
It would help me keep my list up to date if you could tell me the first two characters of the serial number of your GO CLASSIC.
TomTom used that name YEARS ago (2006!), and has now re-used it, and now I'm trying to figure out which model it actually is!
Any assistance appreciated!

Thanks for that,so it seems even a micro B to mini B adapter won't help.
As to the units serial number the first two characters are X6.
Hope this helps.

I had a model that came with a micro B 'egg' receiver cable from TomTom.
Haven't used it in a long time as there are no services offered here any longer.

I show it here as a GO Comfort (North America) or GO Basic (or Classic, as you have pointed out for the EU) depending upon the market into which it was sold. You have provided some new information for me here!

So I take back what I said! There is a version of your device with prefix X8 that was otherwise identical but DID come with an RDS adapter, and some searching should turn one up. You'll likely want this new version cable, though.
