US map dowload

Hi, I purchased US map online from Tomtom site. As per instrauction I have downloaded the map on my orginal SD card which also has UK map. After the dowload, I thought Tomtom will ask me if I want to use UK or US map. But it directly works for UK as usual. I am not sure if this map will work when I will travel to US. Is there anyway I can check if what I have download works and fix if there are any problem. I dont want to work on fixing my software when arrive in US. Can some help me to understand how to check it now when I am in UK?

Can you Manage Maps-->Switch map and select the US map? (You should be able to).
