Updating Public POI's

G'day guys! & gals

I just bought a XL 340 (or just XL IQ Route) today and I have found the public POIs you can download. Anyway I downloaded one that shows the ATMs for your bank. And I have already found one missing from the list.

Question is, is it only the original creator that can update the file? I tried going into Map Corrections >> Correct A Map Error >> Add Missing POI. But the community POIs don't show up. Only Tomtom's original stuff.

I added the POI in Change Preferences >> Manage POIs >> Add POI. But I do believe this will not update with the community.

What can I do, make my own upload?

Change Preferences-->Manage POIS-->Add POI and select a category from the downloaded pois.

As stated above I have already added it there. For me it is useful, but what I am want to do is get it out to the public, so everyone one else can get there hands on it.

On solution might be POIfriend.com (POIfriend.com: Free GPS POI (Point of Interest) Downloads, Maps & Community - Garmin TomTom), a site for downloading and adding new POIs. Frankly, I've given up trying to help others keep their POIs up to date, and just update mine. They also try to keep POIs up to date over on GPS Passion.
